A drive through Seoul.
City Hall area → Anguk area. Actual road geometry, synthetic traffic. Recorded on Linux with SUMO 1.28.0.
A rule-based traffic simulation with route finding, car following, lane changes and synthetic signal timing. No real vehicle, sensor perception, learned driving policy or fly-brain control.

Final trip statistics describe the whole recording. Current speed and traffic counts follow the slider. The replay is static and does not control a vehicle or Linux process.
Same marked trip · three scenarios
| Scenario | Background trips | Trip time | Waiting | Distance | Collisions / teleports |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light · fixed route | 120 | 244.0 s | 50.5 s | 2.54 km | 0 / 0 |
| Busy · fixed route | 600 | 247.0 s | 47.5 s | 2.54 km | 0 / 0 |
| Busy · rerouting | 600 | 184.5 s | 23.0 s | 2.11 km | 0 / 0 |
All 1,323 scheduled trips arrived within the 30-minute simulation horizon across the three cases. In this one demand seed, rerouting shortened the marked busy trip by 62.5 seconds. This is a descriptive result, not a general performance claim.
120 or 600 background trips, shared origins/destinations and initial routes. The two busy cases differ only in the marked car's rerouting device. Same seed 27, fixed speed factor 1.0 and deterministic car-following noise setting. Driver rules, demand, defaults and signal plans are synthetic; OSM road attributes may be incomplete. No pedestrians, weather or measured Seoul traffic.
Evidence & reproduction
The 30-minute scenarios ran faster than real time. Full vehicle trajectories, trip statistics, executed routes, logs and environment versions are downloadable from the reproduction record. Road data were fetched once; this page loads no map tiles or live traffic API.
